Bullet journal #2: Layout and first pages created
Today my second article about my bullet journal. Mine first article about bullet journaling was mainly about my start and I showed a few pages. Today I'm showing my new pages in my journal. These pages are mainly pages related to the classification and annual overviews. Curious? Then take a look further :-).
Chapter Blog 2018
In my first article I mentioned that I work with 3 chapters in my bullet journal: blog, annual overviews and monthly overviews. First I created the title page for the blog chapter.
Blog title page 2018
The cover of the 2018 chapter blog is not that exciting. I made the words “BLOG 2018” in simple hand lettering. I also drew 3 animals, inspired by an image I found on the internet. Unfortunately, I don't think the zebra turned out so well. But I am very happy with the raccoon and penguin.
Contents Blog 2018
Because I want to create several pages in this chapter, I thought it would be useful to create a table of contents. I wanted to create my own atmosphere. That's why I took watercolor paint and made a background with blue and a little pink. I then glued this onto my page with an Action glue roller. I'm really a fan of this glue roller!
I tore a page with lines from an old notebook. I used this to write the table of contents. Finally, I finished the page with gold washi tape.
Tip against ghosting and pushing: As you may know, I bought a bullet journal with a bit of cravings and pushing through (see my first bullet journal article). I really can't stand that right now ;-). By pasting an image on a page with a lot of printing and ghosting, you will no longer see it ;-).
Statistics blog 2017-2018
In addition to my previously created page of unique visitors per week, I also wanted to create a page with graphs showing the growth of my social media channels: Instagram, Twitter and my newsletter. The graphs are a bit ambitious, but with extra space I assumed I would double my number of followers. But I don't expect that, but if it happens I have plenty of room ;-). I indicate the number of followers with washi tape. The washi tapes I use come from Action and fit almost exactly between the dots :-).
Overview of written articles per week
I have agreed with myself to write at least one article a week for my blog. On this page I indicate how many I have written per week. For the bear I was inspired by a picture on Pinterest. I just thought it would be fun to draw the fireworks.
Chapter annual overviews 2018
In this chapter I want to make all annual overviews. Think of walk of the year, weight tracker, savings goals of the year and so on.
Title page annual overviews 2018
For the cover of the 2018 annual reviews, I chose something I had wanted to draw for so long, a wreath with flowers. On Pinterest I looked again for different circles with different flowers to get inspiration. I'm not very good at drawing, but secretly I'm quite proud of this result. One thing I think is a shame is that everything doesn't seem to be completely in the middle, because more flowers have been drawn on the left. I placed the circle in the middle. Improvement point for next time!
Table of contents annual overviews 2018
To keep things clear for myself, I also chose to create a table of contents in the 'annual overview' chapter. I cut a background from a paper block. I also used a sheet of paper with lines from a notebook to write down the contents.
I want to record the important events in 2018 on a 'roadmap'. I came across the idea of a roadmap Pinterest. Of course I made my own version of it :-).
Because I thought it would be fun to motivate myself to walk more, I wanted to keep track of my walks. On Pinterest and on the blog of Mindjoy I already saw an example of such a page with drawn trees. Of course I put my own spin on it again. I was looking for a beautiful quote to handletter that matched this page. I soon came up with the title: “You'll never walk alone” from my favorite football song. I'm not allowed to draw a tree until I've gone for a walk. So now let's go for a walk ;-).
Do you have a nice idea for a page in my bullet journal?
