Bullet journal #5: The month of April elaborated on the theme of space and universe
Today I'm showing you my bullet journal setup for the month of April. Last month I chose it theme geometric. This month I wanted to make everything about space and the universe. Curious about my new pages? Then read on :-).
Month of April inspiration bullet journal
As I said in the intro, this month I wanted to work with the theme of space. You can immediately see that in the cover :-). I tried to make the font of the word “April” resemble a constellation. I drew all kinds of stars, planets, the earth, a UFO and a rocket around it. I wasn't sure whether I wanted to color the page, but in the end I decided against it.
Mood tracker April
This month's mood tracker is circular. I previously made a mood tracker for February with 4 circles for date, morning, afternoon and evening, now I have chosen to make a mood tracker with 3 circles, date, daytime and evening. The classification of the feelings comes from me March mood tracker. I liked how this worked.
Of course, the mood tracker had to match the space theme. That's why I pasted a space design in the center of the circle. This paper comes from a paper block from Action called “dreaming feelings”. Completely in keeping with the theme :-). I also put the MOOD font in the constellation idea of the cover (see photo above). I decorated the rest of the page with drawings related to space :-).
Page a bit elaborated :-).
Doodle a day
A page I made for the first time this month, doodle a day. The idea of this page is that you make a small drawing, a so-called doodle, every day of the month. I think it would be fun to practice drawing this way.
The design of this page is of course again in the theme of space. To hide the printing and ghosting of the mood tracker, I pasted paper from the paper block of the Action in the background. I made the boxes for the doodles with pages from the back of my bullet journal. The boxes are 4 by 4 squares. Each box represents a day of the month, hence the number in it :-). I wrote the title with a silver marker that I bought at AliExpress. I also added some washi tape at the bottom left and right.
My first doodles from this page.
Sleep log / sleep tracker
Also in April I made another sleep tracker. This time, just like in February, I'm keeping track of the times I slept. To stay in the April theme, I drew some stars, planets and a rocket again. I also adjusted the colors to match the theme :-).
Here you can see how I filled in this page.
Holiday page week away / travel page
In April my boyfriend and I went away to Friesland for a wonderful week. Of course I wanted to make a page of that in my bullet journal. It ended up being 4 pages :-).
I made the first 2 pages a bit the same as the my page of the weekend away in Zeeland. I started drawing the map of the province we went to again. I traced this from a print, very easy. I colored the sea and the land a little with colored pencils. To give the page a Frisian atmosphere, I drew the Frisian flag straight from Friesland. I added space washi tape at the bottom left, I wanted to bring back the space theme a bit. I first drew the title of the page with pencil and then traced it with a black micron fineliner. This was the basis.
And so the two spreads became. Unfortunately, I think the space background in the second spread is a bit too present. I won't do this again :-). Learned something again!
Photos of the month
Because I now have a small photo printer (see article about the Canon Selphy) I also like to stick photos in my bullet journal every month. Below you can see the layout of this page :-).
