Bullet journal #6: Month of May elaborated, party theme
Today I'm showing you new pages from my bullet journal. Because my birthday is at the end of May, I made all pages in the theme of birthday and party. Curious about my elaboration of the month of May? Then read on :-).
Of course I started with the cover. I immediately drew the typography of the word “May” in the party theme, foil balloons. I then drew many balloons behind the word May. I colored this with 3 different pencils, yellow, orange and pink.
At the bottom of the page I drew a cake (Pinterest inspiration). I put candles on the cake, and on top I put candles showing how young I am getting ;-).
Mood tracker May
The May mood tracker is also festive again. I chose 31 flags, each flag for a day. The 5 colors represent 5 feelings. I also used this classification of feelings during the month March and April and I like it very much.
Part already filled in:
Photos of the month of May
Because I really want to print more photos and now I have one nice photo printer I also want to make a page with photos every month.
For this month I am using yellow, orange and pink. I also reflect this on this page using washi tape. I also used background paper and pictures from a paper craft set from Decotime. I bought this at Action. I further finished the page by drawing flags and a cake with a black fineliner.
Doodle a day
I first made these pages in April. I enjoyed maintaining this page so much that I also made a spread in May.
I chose to make my doodles in polaroid this month. I drew 3 “clotheslines” and I “attached” the Polaroids to them with drawn clothespins. In retrospect, the space in which the doodles should be placed may be small.
I further decorated the page with washi tape, a sticker and some animals drawn with a black fineliner. I drew this from images on Pinterest. I added the party hat myself. This way they fit well with the theme :-).
Here is an example where I have already drawn some doodles. Drawing without sketching first is not my strong suit ;-).
This month I made another sleep log. This one is not as exciting but more functional. I used a background from a craft set from Action. I also decorated the page with kraft wrapping paper and orange and yellow washi tape. I also used this on other pages. This way, this page still fits in with the theme.
Here is another photo of my completed sleep tracker.
