Make your own cards #17: Halloween spooky cards
Halloween is getting closer... Oh, exciting or not? I don't care much for Halloween myself, but I thought it would be fun to make some scary cards. These cards are of course also suitable for a birthday card for a cool boy or girl :-).
Want to make your own Halloween cards?
I made 4 different Halloween horror cards. I will explain how I made each card. The patterns of the bat and the ghost can be found at tutorial Halloween felt figures. You can use these for the cards.
Card 1: Happy Halloween
For the card I started with a black square card base. I bought this at Action. On the card I put an orange background just slightly smaller than the card itself. On this orange background I drew 2 spider webs with a black fineliner. Of course the spiders could not be missed. At the bottom of the card I glued a felt bat (click here for the free pattern). Finally, I cut out several letters from magazines that spelled out “Happy Halloween.”
Card 2: Ghost in the ghost town
With this card I also started with a black square base card. On top of that I glued a smaller orange background. I glued black glitter paper on the orange background. Also slightly smaller than the orange background. With the Double Do XL I made houses from paper, which I adhered to the bottom of the card with prit. I stuck the felt ghost in the air (click here for the free pattern). I made “Boooo” with letters from a magazine.
Card 3: Halloween, spooky
The basis of this card is a black horizontal card (once purchased at Kuidvat). I then cut a smaller area from orange paper as the base and glued it to the card. In the background I made a spider web with 3 creepy spiders again with black fineliner. I glued a felt bat in the corner. This time I made the word “grieelen” with letters from a magazine.
Card 4: the halloween birthday card
A creepy birthday card for cool boys and girls :-). I also made this card with a black horizontal card base. I also pasted an orange background on this. I adhered a piece of black glitter paper to the top of the card. I placed a felt ghost in the left corner. On the background of the card I glued plastic eyes, the ghosts in the dark... I made 3x “Boo” with letters. At the bottom of the card I used the same magazine to write the word “congratulations”.
Do you find the cards a bit scary ;-)?
