Crafting: Clear Stamps
Clear stamps… I discovered them. Maybe a little late, but better late than never ;-). In this article I explain how the stamps work and why the clear stamps are so useful compared to regular stamps. regular stamps.
What are clear stamps?
Clear stamps are transparent rubber stamps. They are stuck on a plastic sheet. Because the stamps are transparent, you can clearly see where you are going to stamp. This is often very difficult with stamps that are on wood.
How do you work with clear stamps?
To get started with clear stamps you will need the following:
– Of course clear stamps, I bought these at the HEMArkt, the HEMA outlet
– Acrylic block to stick the clear stamps on
– Stamp pad
– Damp cloth (without alcohol)
Choose a clear stamp you want to use and place it on the acrylic block. The clear stamps stick to the block themselves. So you should NOT glue them down! After use, simply remove the stamp from the block and stick it back with the rest.
Place the clear stamp on an ink pad. Make sure there is ink everywhere.
TIP! Do you want to color the stamps with markers or paint? Then use waterproof ink. I use this stamp pad for this:
Place the stamp on your paper and press it firmly. Now you can immediately see why clear stamps are so much more convenient than regular stamps. Because they are transparent, you can place them accurately.
Tip! Is the result a bit disappointing? New stamps can sometimes still be a bit “dirty”. If you carefully go over it with an eraser, the result may improve.
Were you already a fan of clear stamps?
