New collection of craft supplies Kruidvat
As of last Monday, Kruidvat has a new line of craft supplies available in stores. I had the opportunity to view part of this new collection before and try some DIY packages :-). Curious about the new collection and what I made? Then read on :-).
The new craft supplies
De Kruidvat has 2 different series of craft supplies. The series includes, for example, labels, ribbons, crochet packages, felt packages, things to embroider, packages to make a bracelet, booklets and so on. The photos of the collections do not show everything.
Getting started with the craft supplies
Embroidery wooden labels
The first thing I started making were the wooden labels. The wooden labels have holes with which you can make a pattern with embroidery thread and a needle. The packaging contains embroidery thread, needles, labels and a clear explanation.
Making one label took longer than expected. I think it took me 1.5 hours. Making it was fun.
I think the end result is a success, if I say so myself ;-). The ribbon was not in the box, but is part of the collection. I'm going to hang these labels on presents.
Embroider your own bracelet
Because I liked embroidery, I also started making the bracelet. The bracelet is made of fake leather and has a hole in it that you can fill with embroidery thread. The box contains the bracelet, needle, embroidery thread and a work description.
Making the bracelet goes very well. The stitch you use is the cross stitch and it is easy :-).
The end result is what I expected. I just don't think I'll wear the bracelet myself. Not my taste.
Make your own needle cover from felt
This package is of course right up my alley. Of course, I really enjoy making things with felt. This package is again very complete, even the sewing kit that you can put in the case is already included :-). The felt has already been cut to size and contains holes where you need to put the embroidery thread. I'm not a fan of those holes myself (I prefer to decide where I attach something), but it works very easily. Especially if you don't work with felt much.
The end result matches well with the front of the packaging. I'm satisfied :-).
What do you think of these two craft collections?
