Review: Pixel Art, something new I saw at KreaDoe
Today I'm showing you something I came across at the KreaDoe craft fair, Pixel Art. I had heard of it before. But never tried. At the fair they sold small packages with which you could make a key ring/locket. I thought, that's a nice little project to try Pixel Art.
What is Pixel Art?
I think the best way to explain what Pixel Art is is that it is a combination of Ministeck and Diamond painting. This set that I bought contains square plastic blocks (the pixels) with a hole at the bottom, a pattern and the key ring. There are pins on the key ring on which you press the pixels. You don't need any glue. So that is useful.
My experience with Pixel Art
I placed the key ring on the pattern and started pressing the pixels on it. I found this more difficult than I thought at first. They are quite small pins on which the rather small pixels must be placed ;-).
But if you press the pixels on the pins more often, it becomes faster and faster. The key ring was finished quickly :-).
What do I think of Pixel Art?
Just like Diamond Painting, I also enjoy doing Pixel Art. I don't know if I would start a bigger project because you can't do anything with it. I don't really know what to do with the Diamond Paintings I have made ;-). I really like how this key ring turned out, and I can just use it. You can buy Pixel Art in several hobby stores.
Would pixel art be something for you?
